A project for artists, by artists. We are a loose consortium of artists who have come together to explore the changing cultural landscape: specifically, the ways in which the current societal landscape is bringing into focus questions about the myths that define culture in the United States.
We are living in a time of great uncertainty and change. The old cultural myths are breaking down and no longer hold collective meaning. The people of the United States (and to see degree other Western nation-states) are in a collective identity crisis. It is time to take apart those old myths and create new ones. Art is the ideal vehicle. The cultural myths are hidden inside of our stories. The current moment is exposing the myths.
